Rebecca G. Richard – Physician Assistant –Native of Opelousas, LA
EDUCATION: Rebecca graduated from Opelousas Catholic High School. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Louisiana State University at Eunice. Later she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in General
Studies with a concentration in Applied Science from the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette. Finally, she achieved a Bachelor of Science degree
for Physician Assistants from Louisiana State University Health Science
Center in Shreveport.
HONORS and AWARDS: An Academic Scholarship was awarded to Rebecca, in addition to the TOPS scholarship for her college education. She was on the Dean’s list throughout her courses at ULL. She graduated first in her class and received high honors in Respiratory Therapy School.
CERTIFICATIONS: Board Certified Respiratory Therapist and Board Certified Physician Assistant.
MEMBERSHIPS: Member of the American Association of Phyisican Assistants and the Louisiana Association of Physician Assistants.
PRACTICE HISTORY: Rebecca began her Physician Assistant Career when she
joined the practice at Acadiana Medicine Clinic in September 2008. She continues to practice at AMC with her main focus concentrating in Pulmonology.
